49 years ago, John Lennon happened upon an antique shop in Sevenoaks, Kent while filming the music video for Strawberry Fields Forever. As he browsed the shop, an old circus poster caught his eye and sparked his creative genius. Lennon, known for his ability to turn anything into a hit song, used this poster as inspiration for his music, namely Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite! Similarly, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band includes a song (A Day in the Life) that was inspired by a newspaper article. This period in Lennon's career is a testament to his unique ability to find inspiration in the most unexpected places.
