Imagine a Valentine's Day trip to the circus—in 1843

Imagine a Valentine's Day trip to the circus—in 1843

February 14, 2023

Beatles fans will be familiar with the 1967 song Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite! The inspiration for this song came from a vintage circus poster, which John Lennon came across in an antique shop. At Kite, we have recreated the poster in exact detail, so that you can own a piece of history that looks great on your wall. One of the details we painstakingly recreated was the date that this circus took place: February 14th, 1843. Although Pablo Fanque's circus is an event that's now far in the past, Kite's limited edition Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite print is available to buy today. Coincidently, that Valentine's Day in 1843 was also a Tuesday—maybe its a sign that the Beatles fan in your life deserves some poster-shaped love.
