  • The Basket of ApplesFamous for its play with perspective and firm brushwork, Cézanne’s masterpiece The Basket of Apples is journey through post-impressionism towards the new, emergent cubism. An almost hyper-real still life, the earthy, rich tones formed with a thick, signature impasto bring together Cézanne’s pursuit of harmony with his unique observation of nature. Now at home in the Art Institute of Chicago, this rare signed work of Cézanne’s was originally painted in Provence around 1893, where he spent much of his influential career.

    Making this masterpiece part of our Art Squared collection was a must. Cézanne’s vibrant and resonant palette of colour is conveyed through this distinctly modern version, demonstrating the exciting tones and dynamic composition in an ultra-abstracted manner.     We have chosen a simple wooden frame with a modern, black finish and the framed print is sealed at the back to prevent dust from entering. D-ring attachments and hanging cord are also fitted, so your print will arrive ready to hang. A card is also attached to the rear of the frame containing information about the print.

    High-quality acrylic is used in place of glass for all shipped orders. It is visibly identical, but should not be cleaned or polished with abrasives.

    The price shown on this page includes shipping anywhere in the world, so no additional charge will be added at checkout. We package framed prints carefully to protect them from damage during shipping. Once shipped, we will send you a tracking number.

    The overall dimensions of the frame are: Width = 450mm, Height = 618mm, Depth = 24mm. The frame itself is 22mm wide all around.

    We take great care with packaging to help ensure that your print reaches you in excellent condition. Prints are wrapped in acid-free tissue paper and shipped in large-diameter, thick-walled tubes with secured end caps.

    We ship worldwide, and regularly send orders to the US, Canada and Australia. Depending on the destination, orders for multiple prints may arrive in multiple packages.

    UK orders are usually delivered within two working days after dispatch. International orders are normally delivered within 5–10 working days after dispatch.

    Customers in the EU may have to pay a small amount of import duty to receive packages sent from the UK.
